We developed and validated TrueDXP to be the first digital hand-held disposable reader system with low-cost Organic Light Emitting diodes (OLEDs) that can quantify rapid immunoassays in remote locations. The system is designed with a modular test cassette design to allow for the option to re-use or dispose after a single use.

We developed and validated TrueDXQDF to enhance the optical properties of our system in order to improve the signal-to-noise ratio. With TrueDXQDF, we are able to enhance precision, sensitivity and stability over conventional fluorescent dyes. The TrueDXQDF system’s fluorescence absorption and emission characteristics are conveniently tunable based on size and material composition and emission peaks have a narrow spectral line width. Moreover, TrueDXQDF quantum dots are about 100-fold more stable against photo bleaching than an organic dye and they often reveal a long fluorescence lifetime in comparison.
Our TrueDXM multiplexed system is the perfect solution for multiplexing an array of assays in one single run. Our process provides ultra-low volume liquid handling of various types of samples (i.e., biological, organic, nanoparticle and dyes) in diagnostics, genomics, proteomics and technical applications. Within seconds, liquid volumes between 100 picoliters and 1 microliter can be detected in steps of 100 picoliters.
